about

Written at the Fortaleza in Havana, Cuba, La Tormenta means "storm". I was stuck in a torrential summer monsoon, and this groove and these lyrics came together. Starts off funk and goes to a slick 2-3 salsa groove, with a killer timbale solo by Joey de Leon, and great soneos by Steve Giraldo.
